Up to 100,000 EV charging points could be in place across the UK by September, according to low-carbon vehicle infrastructure firm Bookmycharge. The estimate, reported in Energy Live News on Thursday 12 April, follows a 13.5% increase in the sale of EVs between January and March this year, compared to the same period in 2017. According to Bookmycharge, there are currently 85,000 domestic EV charge points across the country, as well as 6,152 public charging locations. Co-Founder of Bookmycharge Jan Stannard, said the expected increase will mean “even more homeowners will be able to travel with confidence, able to easily book and pay for a convenient charge wherever they are in the country.”
