The latest Greener UK Risk Tracker has assessed the UK’s climate and energy as a high-risk area. Released on Monday 11 March, it highlighted a decrease in energy infrastructure investment caused by uncertainty over Brexit and a “consequent slowdown in efforts to decarbonise the economy”. In addition, Greener UK criticised the statutory instruments published by BEIS to prepare the UK for leaving the EU as offering limited scope for wider debate. Greener UK also expressed concerns about the lack of strong industry incentives to make the shift to electric vehicles.
