The latest data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed that 355 pure electric vehicles (EVs) were sold in February 2018, a decrease of more than a quarter (26.5%) on the same month in 2017. This takes total year-to-date sales of pure EVs to 990, which is down by a third compared to 2017. Despite this decrease, the figures showed that sales of “other” forms of plug-in electric vehicles and hybrid petrol-electric vehicles rose by 41% and 22.1% year-on-year respectively.
