Shell’s New Energies division is to partner with renewable energy company Anesco for a utility-scale battery project at the Bacton gas terminal site in Norfolk. Announced on Thursday 10 January, Anesco is to provide the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the system. Anesco Executive Chairman Steve Shine said: “It marks another significant milestone for us at Anesco. We have fully complied with Shell’s high standards of quality and safety and that is a massive compliment to the Anesco team.”
